KEEP IN MIND:
This pattern is designed to have structure and is intended for vinyl/faux leather to be used as the exterior. Leather and cork can be used but may require different interfacings or omitting them altogether. Canvas,décor fabric, or quilting cottonmay be used for the accentpieces, but arenotrecommended for the main exterior fabric because of the hidden strap connectors.
Stabilizers used are for constructing with recommended materials. Instructions and substitutions for other than the recommended fabrics are NOT included in this pattern.
MATERIALS:
Fabric amounts provided are for non-directional print and would need to be adjusted if using a directional print or if you are fussy cutting.
EXTERIOR FABRIC:
Main exterior – 1/2 yard x at least 45” wide of vinyl/faux leather
ACCENT FABRIC – optional:
Primary center accent – 2 pieces @ 2 3/4” x 7 3/4” of vinyl, faux leather, or leather
Secondary accent on each side of primary – 4 pieces @ 1 3/8” x 7 3/4” of vinyl, faux leather or leather
LINING FABRIC:
1/2 yard x 45’’ wide quilting cotton or similar weight fabric
1 yard x 20’’ wide lightweight interfacing (such as Pellon SF101)
1/2 yard x 20” wide medium-weight fusible stabilizer (such as Pellon 525 Decovil Light)
10” x 3 1/4” piece of Pellon Peltex 71F one-side fusible firm stabilizer plus scraps for backing
(2) 13” x 1/4” pieces of foam for the faux rolled straps (optional)

(1) #5 zipper cut to 9” (plus 1 pull if using zipper-by-the-yard)
